What to have ready when you call
- Reason for the visit and body area involved;
- Insurance plan, employer, adjuster, or authorization information, if applicable;
- Prior treating physician and facility information;
- Dates and locations of relevant X-rays, CT scans, or MRIs; and
- A callback number and preferred contact time.
Use a secure method provided by the practice to transfer medical records or imaging. Do not attach them to an unsolicited ordinary email.
